The origins date back to Grassi,
Compagnoni Silvestrin
(GCS) company,
which, since 1947, dedicated to
the production of machinery for
bookbinding and board converting,
paper cutters, roller washers and
paper folders, filling a gap in
the market that was typical of that
period. In 1970 the end of the company,
due to the separation of the members,
led Mr. Alfredo Grassi to set up
his own business.

The takeoff of the new company
arose from the need to provide
to the board converting industry
a machine able to pair sheets
of paper automatically, in order
to replace the manual gluing.
It was certainly a great intuition.
The built of the first machine
opened the way for the development
of new machines for an easier
and faster production of boxes,
cartons and other different paper
products.

Today AELLEGI is one of
the few companies in its sector
that can offer a wide range of products:
from sheet laminating machines,
window patching machines, and folder
gluers equipment for compact and
corrugated cardboards, to applicators
for handles and other special machines.
Our presence in the domestic and
foreing market is characterized
by a strategy that aims at the maximum
training and at the continuous search
for innovative solutions; promptly
respond to market demand with high
quality products is the basis for
our always successful philosophy.
In the standard production is not
always possible to compete with
large multinational companies, but
when the constantly evolving board
converting industry needs customized
or sophisticated solutions, AELLEGI
is able to design and build special
and even complex machines.
The
Market:
Italy is
still our most important market,
accounting for 60% of our sales,
but we have a significant presence
in the foreign markets as well.
The European market is of course
our first market after the Italian
one, nevertheless we are present
also in the Arabic markets of Mediterranean
sea, in Middle East, and we are
now well known all over Europe as
well as in such remote markets as
Canada, Australia, Mexico and Latin
America.
Representations:
AELLEGI obtained the representation
of the Dingshung Taiwan company
for the sale of laminators that
is going to enrich our product range.
